Anthony Brooklere District 1 Anthony Brooklere and his wife, Sara Jean have lived in the Forestdale – Adamsville community for over 50 years. He has two children, both of whom are pharmacists. His daughter Anna works at UAB and his son, Johnny, works with him at Adamsville Pharmacy. He and his wife operated Brooklere Pharmacy in Forestdale for 35 years. He and his son own and operate Adamsville Pharmacy in Adamsville and Alabaster and Brooklere Home Pharmacy Services.
Anthony graduated with honors from the School of Pharmacy at Auburn University. He is a member and a past president of the Jefferson County Pharmacy Association, the Alabama Pharmacy Association, and the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy. In 1976, Anthony was awarded the "Bowl of Hygeia", pharmacy’s most prestigious award.
Anthony is a member of St. Patrick Church in Adamsville, where he serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee,lector and Extraordinary Minister. He is a charter member and past president of the Forestdale Lions Club with 48 years of perfect attendance.
Reginald Crawford District 2 Reginald Crawford resides on Westwood Avenue .He is the proud father of a son, Reginald, Jr., and daughters, Richelle Crawford McCray, Yavonne Kromis, and Keshond Sims. He is also the proud grandfather of Amy Kromis, his granddaughter.Reginald is a graduate of Western Olin High School and later attended Miles College. He is a retired automotive technician with the State of Alabama Department of Transportation with 20 years of service. He received numerous awards, including Who’s Who at General Motors.
Reginald is the current Secretary/Treasurer of the Original Golden Rod Bass Club, and has held this position for the last four years. He has also served as the Treasurer for the Southeastern Association of Black Bass Anglers where he has worked with the City of Birmingham sponsoring youth activities such as fishing, boat riding and rodeos. Reginald is Vice-President of the Adamsville Lions Club, and a member of the National League of Cities. He is presently employed as a part-time funeral director.
Reginald’s goals as City Council Member for District 2 are to clean up the community, bring in new businesses, and continue to improve the Police, Fire and Public Works departments.
Glenn Minyard District 3 Glenn Minyard was born and raised in the Adamsville area. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy. Glenn has had the privilege of serving the people of Adamsville for over 50 years in the area of Funeral Services. He is presently the manager of New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Glenn and his wife, Frances, have three children and five grandchildren. Glenn is a Mason, and he is an active member of Burnwell Baptist Church.
Glenn’s goals for the City of Adamsville are to grow bigger and better. He wants to accomplish that through continuing to seek new business for the city, and the annexation of property.
Ron Mosley District 4 Ron Mosley was born in Fairfield and grew up in Bessemer. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 where he served one tour of duty in Viet Nam. After leaving the Air Force, Ron served 7 years in the Air National Guard where he reached the rank of E6 Technical Sergeant in Aircraft Maintenance. He attended Raymond J. Horn School of Drafting and completed a course in Mechanical Drafting. In 1969 Ron went to work for Harbert Construction as a heavy equipment painter. He later moved into management and worked for Harbert for the next 23 years.
After living in Bessemer, Kimberly, and Hueytown, Ron moved to Adamsville in 1993, where he feels that he has found his home. He worked for Fireworks of Alabama and Sign Builders, Inc. From 2005 until 2009 Ron and his wife, Robin, owned and operated Mosley Mart Community Store on Union Grove Road. After over 40 years in business management he retired in May of 2011. In retirement Ron works part-time for CarMax.
Steve Johnson District 5 Hello everyone. I’m proud to be your Council member for District 5. I was born and raised in the Adamsville area and have lived here over 60 years.
My work history revolved working in the trucking industry for approximately 40 years and I did serve our country for four years in the U.S. Navy. I have served our community proudly by serving as the Minister of Music for several community churches throughout the years. My wife Janice and I, currently, are members of Forestdale Freewill Baptist Church. We were blessed with 7 children and beautiful grandchildren.
Most of the time, you can catch me at our Adamsville Senior Center. I hope to help our city grow and attract new business and continue to improve on making our City the best place to live.
